Juror's Statement:

I had the good fortune to be invited to curate this year's annual member art competition for The Ridgefield Guild of Artists.

Working with pam Stoddart, Director of The Guild, and Cynthia Mullins, Co-Creative Director, was a delightful experience. Their organizational skills made curating this show not only easy and joyful, but also a pleasant surprise. After witnessing the quality of artists and works from one hundred thirty-eight participants, it was very difficult to choose which pieces deserved first, second and third prize, let alone choosing the limited number of honorable mentions. When I was done, however, I must admit that I could have, without a doubt, given 50 first prizes and 30 more honorable mentions to the wonderful work by participating members. Thank you all so much for entering this year's Juried Member Show and offering such talent.

- Isabella Garrucho
